technically no, but there are a lot of people in the states that refer to all Nissans from that time period as Datsuns since all Nissans over here were sold as such.

But they are fucking dumb and should be slapped....

They're the fanboys, the ones who think they know what they are talking about, the same people who try to explain to me how a turbocharger works and that I NEED a catalytic converter because I need backpressure or else my engine will explode.

I actually almost slapped a kid who tried telling me that.....even after explaining to him multiple times that I don't need back pressure after the turbo.

Lol @ needing back pressure. What's needed is exhaust velocity, not back pressure. As for it being dumb, yeah it is, though to be fair if it had been sold over here new, it WOULD have been a Datsun, so....meh.

Turbo creates enough velocity lol

I don't need a cat, it just slows the spool up of the turbo creating more lag. I don't want lag, which is why I have antilag....

And Still it WAS a Nissan.

Just like the (censored because last time I used that phrase I was publically "shamed for using it) who put Bora badges on Jettas, or Honda badgine on a Acura.

I ran into a couple similar people. One who was complaining about the lack of Hondas in Forza 5 (reasonable complaint) but drove a slammed, ratty Del Sol with a bad body kit and a fart can. Another was some 18 y/o punk smoking newports claiming that he probably knew more about cars than me because he watched top gear.
